Privacy Policy for Modbus Connect
This policy explains what data Modbus Connect handles, how it is used, how long it is retained, and how users can revoke consent or request deletion.
1. App and Controller
Modbus Connect is an industrial connectivity and diagnostic application provided by Intecdynamic. The app helps users connect to Modbus devices and inspect industrial signals, registers, and communication status.

2. Data the App Handles
Depending on how the user configures and uses the app, Modbus Connect may handle the following data:
- Connection settings entered by the user, such as device name, IP address, port, unit ID, register addresses, protocol settings, and labels.
- Industrial device data read from Modbus equipment, such as register values, coils, discrete inputs, holding registers, input registers, timestamps, and connection status.
- Technical diagnostics generated during use, such as communication errors, timeout information, response status, and app troubleshooting details.
- Support information voluntarily sent by the user, such as email address, screenshots, device details, logs, or descriptions of a technical issue.
Modbus Connect does not require users to create an Intecdynamic account to use local Modbus functions.
3. How Data Is Collected
- Data is entered directly by the user when configuring Modbus connections and tags.
- Industrial signal data is read from Modbus devices selected by the user on their network or test environment.
- Diagnostic or support data is collected only when the user chooses to send it to Intecdynamic for support.
4. How Data Is Used
- To connect to Modbus devices requested by the user.
- To display live or historical values available within the app session or saved configuration.
- To save local connection profiles and user preferences on the device.
- To diagnose communication issues and improve app stability when the user requests support.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse, and respond to user requests.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
Intecdynamic does not sell personal data and does not use Modbus Connect data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Data may be processed by service providers only when necessary to operate the app, distribute the app, host public websites, receive support email, or provide crash and diagnostic services enabled by the platform. These providers are expected to protect user data with the same or equivalent safeguards described in this policy.
Apple may process App Store, purchase, analytics, crash, and platform data according to Apple’s own privacy practices. Intecdynamic is responsible for data it collects or receives through Modbus Connect and support channels.
6. Local Network and Industrial Data
Modbus Connect is designed to communicate with devices selected by the user. Device IP addresses, register maps, and industrial values may be sensitive operational information. Users should only connect to systems they own, administer, or are authorized to access.
Data processed only on the user’s device and not sent to Intecdynamic is not collected by Intecdynamic. If a user exports, shares, or sends logs or screenshots for support, that submitted information may be reviewed by Intecdynamic to resolve the request.
7. Permissions and Consent
The app may request permissions required for its features, such as local network access or other device capabilities depending on the platform version and enabled functions. Users can revoke permissions at any time in the device settings. Some app features may stop working if required permissions are disabled.
8. Retention and Deletion
- Local configurations remain on the user’s device until the user deletes them, clears app data, or uninstalls the app.
- Support emails and voluntarily submitted diagnostic information are retained only as long as needed to provide support, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations, and are normally deleted or anonymized within 24 months.
- Users may request deletion of support records associated with their email address by contacting soporte@intecdynamic.com.
9. User Choices and Rights
Users may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information submitted to Intecdynamic. Users may also revoke consent by disabling permissions in device settings, deleting saved connection profiles, clearing app data, uninstalling the app, or contacting support.

10. Security
Intecdynamic applies reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information it receives. However, no internet-connected or industrial communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect access to their devices, networks, and industrial systems.
11. Children’s Privacy
Modbus Connect is intended for industrial, educational, and technical users. It is not directed to children under 13 years of age. Intecdynamic does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Modbus Connect.
12. International Use
Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws, workplace policies, and industrial cybersecurity rules when using the app with equipment, networks, or exported data.
13. Changes to This Policy
Intecdynamic may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or security changes. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
